What Kind of Email is More Valuable to You?

I usu­ally go through my email once a week and clean it out. I am signed to way too many email lists so I get a lot of email. But it got me to think­ing that I need to sort it out a lit­tle bit. Unsub­scribe to some of these emails. I get two kinds of email.

One is some­thing you see a lot of: There are email lists that send out an email, some­times once a day, that are full of offers. Both to buy and free (which you have to sign up for, go fig­ure). These are nice as it allows me access to more infor­ma­tion that I may get some value out of. The prob­lem is there are a lot of emails and that’s I all I see is more and more offers.

The other email is from mar­keters that send infor­ma­tion in their email. These are pretty meaty and usu­ally have lots of good info. Every once in a while they might send and offer for some­thing but I think that’s alright. They have to make a liv­ing too right? I find these emails much more inter­est­ing and infor­ma­tive. Not to men­tion, these are the emails I read most often.

So my ques­tion for you is which kind of emails to you find more valu­able? Emails with a lot of offers in each one, or emails with good infor­ma­tion and some offers here and there? I know which I value more, let me know which ones you find more valu­able and use­ful in the com­ments below.
