So I’m driving down the road the other day doing my shopping and picking up stuff we need. I see something that I haven’t seen in a long time. Someone standing out in front of Little Ceaser’s Pizza with a big sign.
On the sign is an advertisement for one of their sales. This is nothing new by any means. This form of advertisement has been used quite a bit by a lot of businesses. But it still stuck out to me. Why?
Well for one thing no one else is doing this. As I said, I haven’t seen that for a long time. So it stuck out to me. Did it make me want to go eat at Little Ceaser’s Pizza? No not really, I’ve never been a big fan. But I remember it. It stuck out to me.
So my question for you is this: Is your advertising sticking out? Or does it look like all the other adverts plastered across the net?
While standing out in the cold in a Little Ceaser outfit (I felt sorry for them, brrr) isn’t unique in that it’s been done before, it is unique in that no one else doing it right now.
Having a unique advertisement may not mean doing something new and different. While that will definitely help you can use older tactics as well. The point is to stick out from the crowd.
