That’s a good idea. I think I’ll give a little while and then come back and update how it’s going. Seems pretty good so far.

Oh and about being notified, I know how you feel. I’ve tried out several things and they were more annoying than anything. That’s why I made Teux Deux my home page so I’ll see it every time I open the browser.

I found a pretty cool tip about being notified the other day. If you set up some reminders on google calender, there is an option to have an email sent to you for the reminders. I thought that was cool. I have google talk installed so whenever I get a new email it lets me know. I’m not much for calenders but it may be something for you to try out.

Cool. I’m still getting a feel for it myself, as you said, we’ll see how long it lasts. I think I’m going to make a couple suggestions in the feedback box they have there and see what happens.

I hope you guys will keep adding your experience with this software. I’m still using my notebook (pen and paper), while also using Things for my Mac and iPhone. But it’s like I’m missing something.

I would really like to have an alarm attached to my notepad, I’d like to get notified when I should do things

I’m the same way, I’ve tried all kind of software and whatnot that was supposed to help with productivity. I always went back to my notebook because of the simplicity. That’s why I like this though too. But I don’t think I’ll switch to it completely, I still depend on my notebook more than anything.

Isn’t it funny how the simplest things seem to work the best?

You ought to give it a try though. It’s a nice compliment to writing things down.

I just can’t break away from the pen and paper for my to-do list. I’ve tried many times, but there’s something to be said about the simplicity of pen and paper. Also, I like the idea of my grandchildren finding my old notebook in an attic 100 years from now. With that said, though, it’s hard to deny that teux-deux might be the best first step for me to take my to-do list online.

You make a good point though. It doesn’t matter what kind of program I find I’ll always use my little notebook.

Teux Deux looks like a really handy to-do application (but with a weird name). I have used several similar ones, and ended up with Things (for Mac and iPhone). It’s easy to use, and at the same time it has a lot of advanced features. It’s not free.

Even though that I bought Things, and think that it’s an awesome software, I still use my notepad. It’s the most powerful tool I have
