I’ve talked about goals and how important they are to success before. Today I want to go over a way to help keep yourself on track for your goal. It’s actually very simple.
Make your goal public. That’s it.
Obviously your not going to make every goal public, but projects that you are working on, or products that you are creating are goals too. Let people that are following you know that you are working on a new project. Tell them about your progress.
Yes, people are going to be watching and waiting. And that is a good thing. It helps to keep yourself on track. If you have a lot of followers or readers watching your every move, you are less likely to give up. Not only are depending on yourself to finish it, so is everyone else. That’s pressure, but in a good way.
And something extra!
As an added bonus to helping you fulfill your goals, it creates excitement for you new product as well. Take movies for example: The first thing people hear about a movie coming out are rumors and leaks. Then they come out with a teaser trailer. Then maybe a few full length trailers. Finally the movie comes out.
And by then, people are lining up to see the show. This is your added bonus of making your goals public. It creates excitement for your product. Which in turn makes you more money.

I recently made a goal of writing 50,000 words towards eBooks in November. It was hard but I posted updates on my blog weekly and I made it! Also, at the end it was great to see the comments of people congratulating me
It’s a great way to push yourself just that little bit more.
