Don’t get me wrong, I love my work. But there are times when I’m having a bad day. Or the kids won’t leave me alone. Sometimes I just don’t feel like doing it because of that.

Or perhaps, marketing is a completely new venture for someone. If someone isn’t used to this kind of work, but they are passionate and determined, it doesn’t mean they won’t succeed, but it may take more work for them. If someone else goes into marketing after years of working sales or something, the transition would be much easier.

Not to mention getting into marketing can be like a second job. At least at first. What about stress levels? There are a lot of reasons to become unmotivated until you do hit that mindset. You are right, that mindset is the key. But teaching yourself to get to that point is not always easy either. That is where motivation plays it’s part.

I think people need to do the work on themselves 6 inches between their ears. Once your mindset is on the right track we don’t need to be motivated because we are now ready to do the work it takes to be successful!
