Are You Challenging Yourself? Make Yourself Uncomfortable

Building a business has just as much to do with developing yourself. As your business grows, so do you. You change and adapt to your new lifestyle. And you develop yourself to accommodate for your position as an expert and leader in your niche.

I think it’s essential to be flexible and learn to grow with your business. And more importantly to challenge yourself to grow. Everyone is a little bit different, and some are better at certain things than others.

For example I’m not very good at making videos. I still have to learn to be a little more lively and speak up in front of the camera. Does that mean I’m never going to do videos? No. In fact I have a goal set to make some video series at some point or another. I’m going to learn to be more lively and how to speak up. I will challenge myself to learn how to make good videos. And in the process will help me grow as a person.

This is just a small example. But the point is if your not pushing your boundaries and doing things that aren’t that comfortable to you, you won’t ever develop yourself. Learning new things, and challenging yourself to learn how to do them well, will make you a much more rounded person.

–You will add another skill that you can use.

–You will learn how to be more flexible for anything else you are uncomfortable with

–You can use this new skill to help others.

–You will create confidence in yourself.

–You will create credibility with others as well an being a good example.

Challenging yourself can include a lot of things. Are you not very good at talking on the phone? Does the idea of emailing strangers bother you? Are you afraid of quitting your day job? Do you not like the idea of selling your products? I could go on all day.

Doesn’t matter if it’s something small or something that’s big and intimidating, it’s just important to learn how to push your own boundaries. Overcome your fear and objections and learn more skills. The more you learn the more valuable you are to others. If your not uncomfortable doing certain things for your business, then both you and your business will have a hard time growing.

Push your limits and become the great marketer and leader you know you should be. Raise yourself above all others.
