How Valuable is Your Free Content?

by Christopher D. Anderson on August 3, 2009

When your making your reports or ebooks that you give away, how valuable is it to the reader? We all know that giving away information is a great way to help others and build credibility for yourself.

But if you really want to make an impression, it’s going to have to be really good content. Which it should be anyways. When you surprise someone with your great content it can really leave an impression on them.

Do your research and be thorough and detailed in your report or ebook. Make it a valuable asset to the reader. And not just another ebook that gets lost on the hard drive.

Make it something they can use for themselves. Even though it’s free content, it’s very important to make it really good content. This will build credibility and trust from them. Then when you do pull out something that costs money, they will remember the value you gave them for free.

They will be more likely to buy, simply because of this: if your free content helped them so much then your paid content must be insane!

So make your content great, even if it is free. Make them feel guilty for not paying for this information. Your products will fly off the shelf.
