No, no I’m not saying to show some skin. Hear me out for a second. For anyone that’s new to making videos or contacting prospects, it can be quite daunting at first. It’s not entirely easy to seem confident to anyone when you are actually nervous. How can you give yourself a confidence boost? Here’s one way.
Wear something that makes you feel good. Something that looks real nice on you. Makes you feel sexy. Now, like I said I’m not saying to come on camera with cleavage hanging out by any means. What I mean is something that empowers you. Makes you feel good about yourself.
See, most people that are charismatic and friendly and outgoing, are usually also thought of as good looking. Not just because of their looks though, but because of their confidence. And the way they carry themselves. People are attracted to confidence. Which makes it easier to sell.
So what I’m saying is this: Wear something that empowers you and makes you feel good about yourself. For example, I have this one shirt. There isn’t really anything special about it. It’s just a black, long sleeved shirt. But the way it fits. It forms to me and feels great. And I look good in it!
That in turn, gives me a boost in confidence. I’m ready to take on the world! Well, maybe not, but I’m definitely ready to face the day. It sounds odd to think something as simple as a piece of clothing could make that much of a difference, but it does.
Try it. Find a something that you like a lot, and that you feel great in. Soak in that feeling and take it with you. Let it empower you. Then get on that video, or contact those prospects.
It’s just one of many simple things you can do for yourself to raise your confidence. What other little things do you do that helps you “face the day”?

Hi Chris,
A right reminder to dress well. I always felt we need to invest in little good clothing to network. There is a tendency we feel we lack something when we approach people. Though we are big in confidence and intellectual stamina but we can’t portray it naturally.
Dress takes half the burden of trying to cut across the initial protocols and makes us comfortable to come to the brass tacks immediately.
Otherwise we had invest more time to attract the other person’s attention to win his or her attention.
This is a good reminder to dress well and confident!

Yup. It’s easy to forget that just because we can do our work in our underwear if we want, it’s something else to consider when you are actually working with others.
