Why You Should Make Your Own Custom Marketing Materials

by Christopher D. Anderson on July 13, 2009

When you join a program or company, they usually give all the tools you should need to advertise the product. Auto emails, ad samples, banners, the works. That should be plenty to bring in some sales. Just bring some traffic to your link and your good to go!

That is true for the most part. Most materials will be sufficient. Some are great the way they are. But if you really want to build your list and sell your products faster it pays to make your own customized page and materials. If you take the time to build a website and personalize the emails, it can make a big difference.

Here are a few reasons why:

- Your own videos, or audio. It’s a way to brand yourself and your business. People are much more responsive to that, then something they have seen twice a day in their emails.

- Natural traffic. Having your own unique capture page means it will be indexed by google and other search engines. Which in turn brings you some free traffic.

- Write your own emails. Once again, this goes towards branding yourself. People are much more responsive to something that is personal and not a generic sales message.

- You’ll feel more accomplished and in turn will be more confident. Which makes you a much better marketer.

These are just a few reasons that it would be a good idea to create your own page and other materials. But the bottom line is this. When you take the time to create your own unique email auto responder, capture page, audio/visual it brands you and give you credibility. And creating your products even more so.

Using materials given to you does work to a degree. But when people have seen the same thing over and over, they lose their effectiveness. Branding and creating your own will help you build your list and make you money that much faster.
